Available Government Grant Assistance Programs
DOJ Body-Worn Camera Policy And Implementation Program
The purpose of the FY 2023 Body-worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program to Support Law Enforcement Agencies (BWCPIP-LEA) is to fund the purchase of body-worn cameras (BWCs) that are implemented as part of comprehensive BWC programs implemented in publicly funded law enforcement agencies (LEAs) or correctional agencies that perform law enforcement functions.
Urban Areas Security Initiative
With $615 million in available funds, the UASI program assists high-threat, high-density Urban Areas to prepare and protect against disasters and emergencies.
Operation Stonegarden Grant
With $90 million in available funds, the OPSG program supports enhanced coordination among local, tribal, territorial, state and federal law enforcement agencies in a joint mission to secure borders.
State Homeland Security Program
With $415 million in available funds, the SHSP program assists state, local, tribal, and territorial efforts to build, sustain, and deliver the capabilities necessary to prepare and protect against acts of terrorism.
Emergency Management Performance Grant
With $355.1 million in available funds, the EMPG provides grants to states to help assist state, local, territorial, and tribal governments in preparing for all hazards.
Port Security Grant Program
With $100 million in available funds, the PSGP provides funding to port authorities, facility operators, and State and local agencies for activities associated with port-wide risk management efforts.
Transit Security Grant Program
With $93 million in available funds, the TSGP provides funding eligible public transportation systems to protect critical infrastructure and traveling public from terrorism.
Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program
With $15 million in available funds, the THSGP supports the building, sustainment and delivery of core capabilities to enable tribes to strengthen their capacity to prepare and protect against acts of terrorism and other hazards.
Nonprofit Security Grants Program
With $250 million in available funds, the NSGP provides funding for physical security enhancements and other security-related activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack.
